In January we invited everyone to take part in The Eco Schools Boxtrolls Challenge. The aim was to highlight the need to reduce waste by recycling and reusing.
On the morning of ‘Boxtrolls Day’, 75 models arrived in the school hall. It was wonderful to see so many innovative team and individual efforts!
Photographs of all of the models were sent away to be part of a national draw. Meanwhile in school all participants received certificates and stickers… with eco pencils for the extra special entries from each class. Discussions about the need to reuse/recycle reinforced the message and posters were made and displayed.
Over the course of the week the Boxtrolls moved around the hall and by Friday most had returned to their homes. It was such a well supported, useful team effort. Well done all concerned!
