Welcome to Reception at Edmondsley Primary School
Quotes from our new parents …
“I was worried about him forming a new friendship group quickly enough, but he has really settled in and it’s fantastic to see! All credit to the staff for making the school such a welcoming place! Thank you”

Our Learning in School
From each child’s own starting points, children will make good progress whilst in our Nursery and Reception Classes in all areas of development, outlined in the Statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage, so that they are well prepared for the transition into Year 1. Our key focus is to ensure that all children develop excellent learning behaviours for life and display characteristics of effective learning.
Children will become ‘Happy Chatters,’ ‘Fantastic Friends.’ ‘Energetic Edmondsley Caterpillars’ will grow into ‘Energetic Edmondsley Butterflies’, ‘Brilliant Bookworms,’ ‘Wow Writers’, ‘Magnificent Mathematicians’ ‘Edmondsley Explorers’ and ‘Creative Creatures,’ after having had the opportunities to Play and Explore through Active Learning and Creating and Thinking Critically.
