Compliments, Complaints & Feedback

We are always seeking to improve on the quality of education we provide for children with SEND and are keen to hear from parents about their child’s experience.

Some lovely comment from parents who have children with special educational needs and disabilities.

‘Communication from the school has been excellent.’

‘Staff have been very supportive.’

‘School has made sure my child is included where possible but able to make choices when needed. Other children are positive and friendly to him, which is nice to see.’

‘School have been supportive and pro-active when dealing with my child’s needs. I think the early identification and intervention for his needs has been great and I’ve felt involved and informed throughout. The regular communication has been important and this is something that would be beneficial to all parents of children with SEND.’

We would also like your views about the content of our SEND Information Report. If you would like to comment please complete the online form in the contact us section of our website.

Compliments are always greatly received and can be passed on either directly to staff and the SENCO, or formally recorded via our regular questionnaires to parents or in the form of a letter to the head teacher.  These positive comments will be published on this area of our school website.

We hope that complaints about our SEND provision will be rare, however, if there should be a concern  the process outlined in the school complaints policy should be followed.

Further information can be found in our school complaints policy which can be found in our school policies section. Or if you would like further advice you can visit the Durham County Council Local Offer.

If you would like to discuss your SEND requirements in detail please contact the school to arrange an appointment.
